Pre Tattoo Care

Time; Allow yourself plenty of time on your tattoo day. Try and keep your day as free as possible as occasionally our tattoo artist can run over on tattooing time.

Clothing: Please wear clothes that aren’t expensive, our artists try to contain ink however sometimes it can get on clothing. Try to wear loose fitting clothes. For ladies that are getting ribs, sternum and upper back tattooed avoid wearing a bra, a button up shirt or a zip up hoodie is perfect.
In the winter time we recommend when getting tattooed wear some cosy fluffy socks, hat and sometimes gloves these all can help make your tattoo experience more comfortable.

Parking; If you are parking in a pay and display car park
Please bear in mind you will be at the studio longer than your allocated tattooing time so we strongly advise you put a minimum extra hour on to your car parking. This allows for any preparation time, breaks and going through after care. However there are free car parking areas within 15 minutes walk from our studio, ask our team for information.

Food: We recommend you eat a well balanced meal at least an hour before your tattoo appointment. You can also bring food with you however, there is also plenty of eateries in Southwell if you fancy stretching your legs in your lunch break.
Try to avoid too much sugary foods and drinks, highly caffeinated as these can s and dip pike your blood sugar levels. When your blood sugars plummet this can sometime lead to feelings of nauseous, dizzy or faint.

Moral support: We know when getting a tattoo you are sometimes nervous, and a companion is helpful to feel more relaxed and comfortable. Please note we are a small studio and request you only bring One friend or family member with you for company if you feel it necessary.
Environmental health will only allow tattooist and clients in the tattoo work stations. Strictly only over 18 year old are allowed in the tattoo room.

Alcohol: Do not drink any alcohol minimum of 24 hours before your tattoo appointment.

Avoid getting sun burned. Avoid sun beds minimum 48hrs before your tattoo.

Pamper yourself! To help your tattoo go smooth into the skin. It sometimes helps you exfoliate and moisturize, a minimum of 1 week before your tattoo.
